Purity of a Warrior

Removal of Enemey strongholds.

Pornography and sexual addiction are two horns on the same bull.  We have known for some time that men are susceptible to visual stimulation.  Frequent exposure to pornography can result in the establishment of a sexual stronghold in our lives.  Many men have been trapped by the allure of pornography and have lapsed into one form or another of sexual addiction.  You play with sin and it will ultimately play with you.  Because so many men struggle with sexual temptation, pornography and sexual addiction Heart of a Warrior Ministries offers help in the form of Purity of a Warrior.

Mission:  Our mission is to lead men to freedom from sexual bondage and into a deeper relationship with, and understanding of who they are in Christ.  We will accomplish this by guarding our hearts (Proverbs 4:23), by transforming of our lives   through the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), through accountability with other men (Proverbs. 27:17) and through an understanding or our position in Christ.

This journey will help men move from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, and from shame to honor.  Are you tired of the struggle?  Do you want freedom from the stronghold?  Then this journey is for you.  Purity of a Warrior will give you the tools to help you live victoriously.  It is not an easy journey by any means.  It’s difficult and arduous but worth the effort and commitment.  God has said that He has given us everything we need to live a life of godliness.  We don’t have to be trapped by our unhealthy desires and the guilt it produces.  The Chinese were right—the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.  Are you willing to lean into your fear?  You are not alone; Jesus will be by your side.  Take the step, join a group.

Participants in the group meet either every week for approximately 6 months or every other week for 12 months.  Every-other-week groups commit to meeting with an accountability partner on the off weeks throughout the year.  These groups offer support and accountability, not therapy.  Although the discussions are held under strict confidentiality transparency between each other is Biblical (James 5:16) and essential to break down strongholds.  We were broken until we received Christ as our Savior and Lord.  His grace is sufficient to cover all our sins no matter how despicable they may be.  Participants in the groups agree not to judge one another.  They will, however, hold each other accountable to the truth.

Excellent resources are supplied for the journey including Pure Desire by Ted Roberts and accompanying Pure Desire Workbook.  The workbook includes 22 lessons ordered under two sections—A Place of Hope and A Place of Healing.  The groups are facilitated by experienced leaders.  Again, confidentiality is strictly adhered to so you don’t have to worry about revealing issues on a very personal level.  The following topics are addressed in the workbook…
